- The classes are kept small to allow for individualized attention and study within the group setting.
- Surface decoration techniques demonstrated will include applied texture, colored slips and glaze application.
- You are encouraged to let your instructor know of any project you may have in mind and it will be used to feed the class demonstrations.

MISSED CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY
NO CLASSES SCHEDULED BETWEEN TUESDAY, 11/24 TO MONDAY, 11/30
Missed class can be made up during the session as long as you have flagged your absence at least 12 hours ahead and there is room in another class.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR CLASS
Participants will be required to bring their own individual tool kit and apron to each class.
Tools, recycling containers and aprons purchased will be held at the front desk on the fist day of class.

CLASSES:
All Level Wheel Throwing
For those who truly want to hone their craft, from beginners to experienced artist- a semester of clay. Our seasoned artist coach will teach you the techniques of wheel throwing, exploring different forms, and decorations. This thorough session will begin with a review of the basics and develop your skills. Experienced artists will learn to throw more elaborate forms. You will create ceramic forms on the wheel, throw more evenly, create complex and uniform shapes, throw higher, and learn more about the science, history, and culture of clay.
All Level Wheel + Hand Building
Learn to create pieces using either hand building, throwing or a combination of both that can be used for either functional or sculptural work. Surface decoration techniques demonstrated will include applied texture, colored slips and glaze application.
Beginner Wheel + Hand Building
Appropriate for any one with no, or little experience. This beginner wheel throwing and handbuilding class introduces the fundamentals of working on the potter’s wheel. The fundamentals and technical aspects of handbuilding and surface decoration.
All Level Hand Building
In this class you will learn the basics of hand building and surface decoration. This class is appropriate for beginners and experienced students. Students will learn hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, extruding and rolling slabs giving students the tools to create functional work, tableware collections and sculptural work. Experienced students will receive guidance in building larger and more complex pieces with a focus on surface decorations.

Tools: Pottery tools are required and can be purchased for $15 at registration or at your first class.
Firing Fee: 4 cents/cubic inch per firing.
Cancellation Policy:
12 Week: $200 is non-refundable. Balance will be refunded for cancellation made in writing, no later than 7 days prior to the start of the 12 week session. No refund available thereafter.
6 Week: $125 is non-refundable. Balance will be refunded for cancellation made in writing, no later than 7 days prior to the start of the 4 week session. No refund available thereafter.
