Collective Firing Service:
Thank you for firing your beautiful work at our studio. Please note that due to lack of space, we can only store your ceramics for 4 weeks from the date of your payment, so please do not forget to pick up your clay-bies. The studio is not able to send a reminder since once fired, we do not know who the work belongs to. The studio can not be held responsible if you come to pick up after the 4 weeks deadline and your work is no longer here. No refund will be provided.
Please make note that we are a cone 5-6 mid-range clay studio. Low fire glaze requests will be accommodated in our bisque fire kiln. This means you assume the potential risk of a piece exploding in the kiln and sticking to your work and releasing moisture that could interfere with certain low fire glazes. Each one of your low fire glazed pieces must be labeled with the cone fire information of the glaze you are using.
Glaze firing greenware is prohibited. Pieces must have been bisque fired prior to glaze firing. No refund will be provided for lost pieces or work cracking, breaking, blistering, exploding or any other type of unsatisfactory result.
Full Kiln Rental Service:
Full kiln rental for outsiders and Williamsburg Ceramic Center members does not include the use of our glazes. The prices indicated on the website and in the WCC studio handbook are for standard slow bisque and fast glaze firing cycles. Any firings with special requirements such as ramp / hold are subject to additional fees.

If the kiln or kiln equipment is damaged during your kiln rental, you are responsible for the replacement cost and authorize Choplet Studio to charge your credit card on file.
Glazes Purchase:
Please email or text before ordering to make sure all the ingredients for your glaze are currently in stock. Once you receive confirmation, you can place your order through our website. Please allow up to 5 days for the studio to make your glazes. We will email you when your order is ready. You must plan on picking up your glazes no later than one week from the time you receive an order ready for pickup email from us. The studio does not ship glazes and there is no refund or return available once we start making the glaze in your order.
Clay and Supplies:
The studio does not ship tool kits, clay or plaster and there is no refund or return available once purchased.
Gift Cards:
- No refund is available on gift cards.
- Class prices are subject to change but the monetary value of the gift cards is valid for 5 years.
- Gift cards can not be redeemed online towards classes at this time. The recipient must email the studio to redeem their gift certificate.
Gallery Items:
Art sales are final and cannot be refunded after they have been picked up or shipped.
Commission Work:
In the event a project is canceled or terminated early, deposit is non-refundable. Deposit must be paid prior to the commencing of production. Choplet studio is not responsible or liable for any accident or injury caused due to handling, storage, or display of work after being picked up by a client. .
Work should be picked up no later than one week after the client has received an email from Choplet iStudio informing of final completion of several pieces. Storing fee of $35/day will be applied to commission work left after 7 days.
All proprietary technology and machinery used to produce the finished work including custom molds, jigs, special equipment, etc. remain the exclusive property of Choplet Ceramic Studio, unless otherwise specified in the agreement and in that case, should be promptly picked up after completion of the project and no later than 3 weeks after. Any changes to the project parameters are subject to additional production costs/fees.
